I remember hearing “ribbit" from the frogs and toads after a torrential rain.
I saw one big grasshopper (not cricket) in the field when I went apple picking last year, I think that was the only time I saw a grasshopper here. I used to catch them back I was a child in Hong Kong. I fed them to the bird.

Yes, I heard it too when I was living the village. It made you very sleepy. Whenever it rains, I like to sleep, especially in the afternoon.
I saw grasshopper here. It was big. When I was a child, I liked going out to the meadow to catch grasshopper with my neighbors. They were much smaller compared to the one here.
When I can’t sleep, I turn on RTHK (radio). It always makes me sleepy. I don’t know why 🙂
Cantonese is like background noise these days. Sometimes I leave the radio on while I am doing something else.

Now it’s very convenient to listen to radio in HK via the Internet. I leave the radio on while I’m doing the dishes.
